  • Fiona Spotswood

    Fiona is Associate Professor in Marketing at the University of Bristol Business School, where she also heads up Project FIAS (Fostering Inclusive Action Sports). Fiona has a life long commitment to understanding and addressing gender inequality in sport and physical activity, through research and engagement. Her work has received international acclaim and has been published in leading academic journals. She received the Business School’s 2024 ‘Inclusive Research’ award, was one of Cycling UK’s 100 Women in Cycling in 2023, and was shortlisted as ‘unsung hero’ in cycling in the Bike Biz awards 2025. She is a qualified mountain biker leader and coach, set up and runs a children’s mountain bike club, and is trustee of her local trail association in Bristol.

  • Hetty Kingston

    Hetty runs her own independent business specialising in research and event organisation, with a focus on diversity, participation, and sustainability. She translates in-depth research into practical action, combining a strong eye for detail with a love of logistics and spreadsheets to build communities from the ground up.

    A keen outdoorswoman, Hetty thrives on adventure and endurance. She is passionate about driving positive change and improving the accessibility and inclusivity of the outdoors, ensuring more people feel a true sense of belonging in natural spaces.

  • Martin Hurcombe

    Martin Hurcombe

    Martin is Professor of French Studies. He is the author of three books on the intellectual history of early twentieth-century France and is an expert on reportage and the development of the sports press. His current work explores the history of road cycling in France through its relationship to print media, tracking this through cycling magazines of the late nineteenth century to investigative journalism on the Festina and Armstrong Affairs.

  • Wiesia Kuczaj

    Wiesia has worked for 20 years in the sports industry across event management, athlete management, marketing, and at Fusion since 2011. Outside of work, Wiesia’s happy place is being lost in the woods. V has raced crit, road and track, but perhaps her most impressive feat on the bike is completing the Transcontinental in 2017! Recently, we're super proud that Wiesia was nominated for BikeBiz Women of the Year 2022.

  • Aoife Glass

    Aoife is a writer, editor, presenter and award-winning podcaster with over 10 years of experience within the publishing side of the cycling industry. She has worked with Lonely Planet, Red Bull and Ordnance Survey, and on titles including BikeRadar, MBUK, MBR, CyclingPlus, Discover Wildlife and more.

  • Hannah Dobson

    Hannah is currently the Business Development Manager for Velosolutions UK, but became involved with Project FIAS while Managing Editor of Singletrackworld.com. Before Singletrack, Hannah worked in public sector policy and complex project management. She says, 'I like bikes because they're environmentally friendly and create friendly environments. I try to create opportunities so that others might discover the joy of bikes too.'

  • Hollie Weatherstone

    Hollie is Head of Brand at Ruroc, steering global strategy for the D2C helmet brand after driving multi-year growth at Muc-Off. A marketer with a decade in cycling and action sports, she also founded the 150-member Women in Cycling network to champion inclusion.

  • Louis Van Kleeff

    Louis is Rapha's Global Activations Manager, creating events and building communities across cycling disciplines. He also runs Pennine Rally, a bikepacking event where 50%+ of the riders are women. Based in Sheffield, he loves to build routes that stretch the riders' sense of their own abilities. goes here

  • Nikki Hawes

    Nikki is CEO of Whyte Bikes and has more than 20 years of bike sector experience, working with some of the largest brands in cycling. I worked with several associations as an advocate, promoting initiatives including mentorship and diversity in the cycling industry. My previous roles include: Cannondale, Pon.Bike, Dorel Sports, ZyroFisher, Fujitsu. I ride road, gravel and EMTB with my husband and son and find time in between to do yoga as a way of relaxing after golf.oes here

  • Sarah Munton

    Sarah is the marketing manager at BikePark Wales. I started riding whilst living in New Zealand in 2018, my ex at the time got me into it and wow am I glad he did! When I left NZ, I travelled home with my Trek Fuel boxed up and got right into meeting like-minded mtb mates back in the UK. This passion has not only found me friends for life, an awesome way of staying fit and active but also found me my dream job and career!

  • Miles Baker Clarke

    Miles is a cycling industry veteran of 10+ years, Miles brings a wealth of experience in marketing and comms with an ingrained passion for diversifying cycling. Through his own advocacy work, Fusion's purpose-driven mandate and his own lived experience, he hopes to make a meaningful difference to the sport.
